If in case it was all too confusing for you, here’s a summary:
President Assad (who is bad) is a nasty guy who got so nasty his people rebelled and the Rebels (who are good) started winning (hurrah!).
But then some of the rebels turned a bit nasty and are now called Islamic State (who are definitely bad!) while some continued to support democracy (who are still good.)
So the Americans (who are good ) started bombing Islamic State (who are bad ) and giving arms to the Syrian Rebels (who are good ) so they could fight Assad (who is still bad) which was good.
There is a breakaway state in the north run by the Kurds who want to fight IS (which is good) but the Turkish authorities think they are bad, so the U.S. says they are bad while secretly thinking they’re good and giving them guns to fight IS (which is good) but that is another matter.
Getting back to Syria.
So President Putin (who is bad because he invaded Crimea and the Ukraine and killed lots of folks, including that nice Russian man in London with polonium poisoned sushi, has decided to back Assad (who is still bad) by attacking IS (who are also bad ) which is sort of a good thing (!?).
But Putin (still bad) thinks the Syrian Rebels (who are good) are also bad, and so he bombs them too, much to the annoyance of the Americans (who are good) who are busy backing and arming the rebels (who are also good).
Now Iran (who used to be bad, but now they have agreed not to build any nuclear weapons with which to bomb Israel are now good) are going to provide ground troops to support Assad (still bad) as are the Russians (bad) who now have ground troops and aircraft in Syria.
So a Coalition of Assad (still bad) Putin (extra bad) and the Iranians (good, but in a bad sort of way) are going to attack IS (who are bad which is good, but also the Syrian Rebels (who are good) which is bad.
Now the British (obviously good, except that silly anti-Semite who leads the Labor Party, Mr. Corbyn in the corduroy jacket, who is bad) and the Americans (also good) cannot attack Assad (still bad) for fear of upsetting Putin (bad) and Iran (good/bad) and now they have to accept that Assad might not be that bad after all compared to IS (super bad — see Paris, November 2015).
So Assad (bad) is now probably good, being better than IS and, because Putin and Iran are also fighting IS, that may now make them good. America (still good) will find it hard to arm a group of rebels being attacked by the Russians for fear of upsetting Mr. Putin (now good) and that nice mad Ayatollah in Iran (also good?) and so they may be forced to say that the Rebels are now bad, or at the very least abandon them to their fate. This will lead most of them to flee to Turkey and on to Europe or join IS (still the only consistently bad).
To Sunni Muslims an attack by Shia Muslims (Assad and Iran) backed by Russians will be seen as something of a Holy War. Therefore, the ranks of IS will now be seen by the Sunnis as the only Jihadis fighting in the Holy War and hence many Muslims will now see IS as good (duh).
Sunni Muslims will also see the lack of action by Britain and America in support of their Sunni rebel brothers as something of a betrayal (might have a point?) and hence we will be seen as bad.
So now we have America (now bad) and Britain (also bad) providing limited support to Sunni Rebels (bad ) many of whom are looking to IS (good/bad ) for support against Assad (now good) who, along with Iran (also good) and Putin (now, straining credulity, good ) are attempting to retake the country Assad used to run before all this started.

Just cut n pasting message from Sadguru…. You may agree to disagree……..
Questioner: Sadhguru, why are women not being allowed into certain temples? For example, now with the Shani temple. Why this discrimination?
Sadhguru: At Linga Bhairavi, men are not allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum, but they never protest. They are married and domesticated – they have been trained not to protest against anything (laughter).
It needs to be understood that these temples are not places of prayer – they are different types of energies. Since we are aware that the planets in the solar system have an impact upon our physiology, our psychological structure, and the context of our lives, we have created temples for the different planets.
Based on the time and date of your birth, and the latitude and longitude of your place of birth, Indian astrologers make complex calculations to see which planets have the greatest influence on your life. These things are relevant to you to some extent. However, if you have access to inner technology, it will level out these planetary impacts.
Shani or Saturn, which is a faraway planet, takes 30 years to complete one revolution around the sun. Considering the revolutions of Saturn and those of the Earth, and your birth details, they can calculate what impact Saturn has on you at different times of your life.
Shani is one of the sons of Surya, the sun – the other one being Yama. Shani is the lord of dominance, distress, depression, disease, and disaster. Yama is the lord of death – the “D” company. These two are brothers-in-arms, always working in tandem. Their mother, Surya’s wife, is Chaya. Chaya means “shadow.” This is science expressed in a dialectical way. The sun is the source of light for us. His wife is Chaya – shadow. Only because there is sunlight, there is shadow.
The seventh day, Saturday, is the day of Saturn. Seven being Saat, it isSaaturday or Saturday. Saturn is the seventh planet or graha in the Indian astrological system. The word “graha” means “to grasp” or “to impact.” Saturn as per modern astronomy is the sixth planet. But the Indian astrology looked at celestial objects which have a strong impact on life upon this planet. In that context, Sun and Moon are also counted as grahas, not to be understood as planets, making Saturn the seventh graha.
In the order of grahas that have a strong influence upon this planet – Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn – though Shani is the seventh, he is a very dominant force, as health and happiness give you freedom of life, but disease and depression will seriously dominate your life. The question is are you allowing external forces, such as the celestial objects, to influence or impact you, or is your inner nature the only influence upon you. Hence, in this tradition, profound astrologers refused to make predictions for those who are on the spiritual path or under the influence of a spiritual Guru.
Because his is a 30-year cycle, once in 30 years, you become more susceptible to the influence of Saturn. This phase, known as Saade Saati, or in Tamil,Yelarai Shani, lasts for seven and a half years. You may become more susceptible to disease, depression, disasters, and death, and more vulnerable to external influences. In order to bridge the pits that may occur during a Saade Saati, various processes and rituals are associated with Shani temples.
There are temples for Shani Deva, where Saturn is personified as a god. Currently, there is this controversy about allowing women to enter a certain temple in Maharashtra, the Shani Shingnapur temple. Very powerful processes are conducted at this temple. Shani temples are mainly used for occult purposes and exorcism. People come there mainly to ward off occult influences or because they feel they are possessed. Because occult processes are conducted there, the energies are not conducive for women. As a woman is entrusted with the significant responsibility of manufacturing the next generation, her body is far more receptive and vulnerable to certain types of energies – especially during pregnancy and menstrual cycles.
Should women not enter the sanctum at all? They could if they were appropriately trained for it, but it would be much more difficult to train women than men for this purpose, simply because of a few biological advantages men have in this area of life. In the very nature of female biology, occult forces can have a deeper impact upon her system.
To remove occult influences and perform exorcisms, certain energies are used that are not nice for a woman at all. Shani is not nice. But he is a part of our lives – we have to deal with him too. Because of these occult forces, women are asked not to enter the area where such things are done. It would not be good for their physical wellbeing.
When certain things go wrong with life, you have to deal with them in a certain way, which may not be pleasant. These temples were created for this purpose. Today, some people perceive it as discrimination that women should not enter this space. It is not discrimination but discretion.
Maybe the way it is enforced is crude and seems discriminatory, and that is why these women are protesting. If one day, men protest in front of Linga Bhairavi and want to enter the sanctum, I will lock it. I will not let them into sanctum because it is not designed for men unless they are appropriately trained for it. This is not discrimination – it is necessary discretion. The space of Dhyanalinga, for one-half of the lunar cycle, is managed by men; for the other half, it is managed by women – as that is the nature of an inclusive consecration, which Dhyanalinga is.
At certain temples, like the Velliangiri hill temple, women are prevented from going up the mountain, as the path goes through dense forest that was rich in wildlife in the past, and it was considered unsafe for women to take this journey. But today, these rules can be relaxed.
In view of the demand to allow women entry to the Shani temple, we need to educate people about the science behind these temples – what they are about and why they were built. In today’s democratic fervor, we want to establish equality, but in certain contexts, this would work to the disadvantage of women. Otherwise, we are one species and two genders. Except for a few areas such as this one, the only places where gender should matter are bathrooms and bedrooms.
Love & Grace,
I am reproducing an email I received (I have added the pictures.) While I am not in the business of wholesale condemnation of a community, when I look at current day ISIS, Taliban, al Qaeda and similar other outfits and look at the terror unleashed by Turks, Lodis, Mughals, etc. on the Hindus and search for common links for their inhumane, atrocious barbarism, I am compelled to come to conclusion that the common link that binds “rakshasas” of 8th to 17th century with 21st century ones is nothing but Islam.
We have heard the stale argument that no religion teaches violence, that Islam is not to be blamed, these are misguided followers, etc. But the questions that beg answers are, why doesn’t Islam have a self-correcting feature? Why do Muslims by and large keep mum in face of such cruelty? Isn’t keeping silent a tacit approval? There are enough “aayats” in Quran advocating violence and subterfuge, so I am not even going into that.
Point is, should the Hindus live in the utopia of Hindu-Muslim bhai bhai and close their eyes to the reality? Should Hindus look at every Muslim with suspicion? Should those Muslims who don’t agree with ways and means of ISIS, Taliban and the al Qaeda continue to keep quiet?
Save West Bengal Daughters
Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.
This is the secret of the political history of modern India. Weakened by division, it succumbed to invaders; impoverished by invaders, it lost all power of resistance, and took refuge in supernatural consolations; it argued that both mastery and slavery were superficial delusions, and concluded that freedom of the body or the nation was hardly worth defending in so brief a life. The bitter lesson that may be drawn from this tragedy is that eternal vigilance is the price of civilization. A nation must love peace, but keep its powder dry.
This is an extract from: The Moslem Conquest of India, Volume 1, Chapter 16
The Story of Civilization Our oriental Heritage by Will & Ariel Durant:
“It is a sad irony. Can you imagine the Jews honouring the Germans with preferential treatment instead of seeking compensation for the millions of Jews killed? Yet Islam and Christianity that have gravely harmed Indians over centuries get preferential treatment by the Indian state, and their own beneficial dharma that has no other home except the Indian subcontinent, is egged out. And to top it, this is called ‘secular’!”

subject: Tuktuki Mandal released? What next steps?
There are some questions raised now that Tuktuki is under Police custody, what is there to rally about? Tuktuki case has made progress because people across the world rallied together for a single daughter. The situation in West Bengal is so severely grim, there are issues to rally about in every aspect. We are facing a very dangerous situation, a question of survival of millions.
On one side per UN report 28,000 girls per year abducted, just few days ago another girl Diya Tamang from Siliguri (given below) was abducted. Per NDTV report, in Sandeshakali area girls are bought and sold every day. There is a major cleansing of Hindus across 32,000 villages of West Bengal where there are riots almost every day where Hindus are systematically cleansed (see report with pictures given below).
The program of planned Ethnic Cleansing using riots, murders, rape and human trafficking will not go away easily. A leading BJP person whom I spoke just few days ago said, it is not a Pakistan in the making, it is already a Pakistan. Let us hope the positive effect of rallies in USA will be taken to next step with rallies in UK which has a very strong Hindu community that will not lie down and take this.
Here is what Tappan ji said on Tuktuki release that we should take note of.

Subject: Re: Abducted Tuktuki Rescued by WB Police after 75 days under increa…
I am astonished seeing the naivete of the people. If Tuktuki went on her own, why she would return on her own?
She was under full control of the abductors, fully hand in glove with local police, for long 75 days. What have happened to her – is it difficult to guess? She might have been raped 50 times. More often than not, more than once a day. May be by a number of people. By this time she may be pregnant. She might have been compelled to do abortion.
Are these not enough to break her moral courage?????????? (of a 14 year old minor girl!)
Moreover, She has been repeatedly told that now no Hindu boy will marry her. She will not only be burden to her parents, but no Hindu boy will marry even her sister if she returns home. If her parents accept her, then her family will be boycotted by the Hindu society.
They also threatened her that they would murder her father and brother, and they will lift her little sister too. Tuktuki knows since her childhood how much powerful the Muslims are! Moreover, her kidnapper Babusona Gazi’s father is clerk of unchallenged dawn of the area named Salim. Also Tuktuki saw the dozens and dozens of fire arms (illegal) in their possession during her detention period. Hence, Tuktuki thinks that the threatenings are real.
I have dealt at least 50 cases like this. In this situation the little immature girl thinks, “My life has already been ruined. Now I should not be responsible for ruining my entire family. Let my parents live in peace. I should not be problem for the future life of my brother, sister and other relatives. FOR ALL THESE, I SHOULD SACRIFICE MY LIFE & FUTURE.”
So, the girl surrenders to the tremendous pressure of the culprits and police. Don’t you think it is possible?
Hence, what we have to do? Plz remember the fact – the abducted girl doesn’t know me or Hindu Samhati. The hapless girl doesn’t know that her father is now getting help from some powerful people or organisation after her abduction. She knows – Babusona-s and Salim-s are extremely powerful and her parents are very poor illiterate weak.
In this position, the girl obeys all instructions given to her by the abductors and the culprit police. Hence she gives statement in the court of law as per their wish. AND YOU PEOPLE START SHOUTING – OH! I SAID SO BEFORE! THAT THE GIRL HAS ELOPED WITH THE MUSLIM BOY.
SORRY FRIEND, I DIFFER WITH YOU.
YOU PLZ KEEP IN MIND THE BOTTOM LINE – IN THIS MOGRAHAT AREA (BLOCK) HINDUS ARE 40%, MUSLIMS ARE 60%. HAVE YOU EVER LIVED IN SUCH AN AREA??
I fought and fighting dozens & dozens of case like this. I am not upset. I am not frustrated. I am very much accustomed with all these. I fight till last. I will fight till last in this Tuktuki’s case too.
I can only request you to try to know the ground realities and try to understand the difficult condition of the Hindus living in a Muslim majority area. And then deliver your judgement.
Regards to all.

In fact, I am not amazed by Tuktuki events, because these events often occur in South 24 Paraganas . Media do not cover them. These events come to me each month 6-7 at least. So seeing these things often, I am tired of fighting.
Because I know what will happen next, like all stories it will be buried later. She will get her place in the correctional home and Babusona Ghazi’s men will bribe the guards to visit Tuktuki. And then when she is 18 years, she would leave to settle with Babusona Ghazi, because her rapist would present himself as her lover and she would have at the back of her mind that no Hindu boy will marry me. So if Its where the fate is leading me then let’s go there. Her dad and mom will stand helpless then. And for many people Tuktuki story will feel like LOST GAME!
Hold your Applauses. “Nobel” is not necessarily noble!
Notes from a colleague, SD:
SANKRANT SANU | OCT 12, 2014
Kailash Satyarthi seems deeply involved in Western evengelical institutional structures.
The announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize for Kailash Satyarthi was somewhat of a shock. Firstly he was practically unknown within India with journalists and others all shaking their heads and asking “Satyarthi who?” Secondly, the announcement from the Norwegian Nobel Committee was both politically charged and condescending:
The Nobel Committee regards it as an important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism. Many other individuals and institutions in the international community have also contributed. It has been calculated that there are 168 million child labourers around the world today. In 2000 the figure was 78 million higher. The world has come closer to the goal of eliminating child labour.
The announcement draws on the old theme of Western “parity” between India and Pakistan, and then calls out the purportedly “Hindu” and “Muslim” affiliations of the awardees. Now, going back at least 10 years we did not find the religion of the awardees mentioned in the Nobel Peace Prize announcement. Barack Obama is not called out as a Christian, nor are the affiliations of Marti Ahtisaari, Al Gore, Mohammad Yunus, or any of the other awardees called out. Why the necessity to call out Satyarthi as a Hindu?
Not that Satyarthi is, by any stretch, a Hindu leader. In fact, Ellen Barry, writing in the New York Times, explicitly points out that he is a Marxist. Here is my exchange with her:
Would the Nobel Prize Committee call out a Marxist in the West as a “Christian” just as it calls Satyarthi as a “Hindu.” It appears on the lines of “thou protesteth too much”, unusually calling out a religious affiliation of someone who is clearly not properly identified with that label. What exactly are they trying to hide?
Speaking of religious affiliation, it looks like there is another nexus at play. Of the congratulations Satyarthi got, one came from World Vision who identified him as a “partner.”
World Vision is powerful evangelical organisation that makes no secret of its Christian affiliation and agenda. Satyarthi partnering with World Vision brings the classic Breaking India nexus into play—using Indian Leftists to pave the way for evangelism mission in India. World Vision declined to provide additional details of their relationship. “Project Rescue:” that aims to bring trafficked children “to Jesus” is another potential link. Other Christian evangelical websites such as “Rivers of Hope”, referenced Satyarthi’s Bachpan Bachao Andolan rescues, though their exact relationship remained unclear.
Jaya Jaitley, in an NDTV interview after the Nobel was announced, also gave a less-than-glowing review of Satyarthi. Apparently she was quite familiar with his work from the 1980s before he got the Nobel, but she “found the selection of awards rather strange.”
She also mentioned that “we hadn’t heard much about his work lately. He has gotten a lot of international awards and there are some cynical comments on how these awards are selected.” There were many people working on the issue of child labour and Satyarthi’s work was not particularly notable. She called out Swami Agnivesh, who Satyarthi“trained with” as the one who brought this issue to the fore and was the prime mover. It is unlikely a saffron-clad “Hindu” would be given the Nobel, however.
If we take a look at the list of awards that Satyarthi has received, Jaitley’s contention is certainly borne out.
– Defenders of Democracy Award (2009-USA)
– Alfonso Comin International Award (2008-Spain)
– Medal of the Italian Senate (2007-Italy)
– Heroes Acting to End Modern Day Slavey by US State Department (2007-USA)
– Freedom Award (2006-USA)
– In October 2002, Satyarthi was awarded the Wallenberg Medal from the University of Michigan in recognition of his courageous humanitarian work against the exploitation of child labor.
– Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Award (1999-Germany)
– La Hospitalet Award (1999-Spain)
– De Gouden Wimpel Award (1998-Netherlands)
– Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award (1995-USA)
– The Trumpeter Award (1995-USA)
– The Aachener International Peace Award (1994-Germany)
Germany, USA, Spain and Italy are certainly prominent among the countries from which these awards originate. Also the US State Deparment has both awarded Satyarthi and funded his Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) during the Bush era.
Finally, Megha Bahree writes in Forbes that her experience with Satyarthi’s Bachpan Bachao Andolan was “Anything But Nobel-Worthy.” She mentions being taken by a BBA representative on a “tour” to show her child labour for a story she was doing. But none of the places she took her had child labor, till he finally asked her to wait and presented a situation with looked fake to her journalistic eyes. As she pointed out “the problem is that the more children you show “rescued”, the more funds you get from foreign donors.” On that account BBA appeared to be doing rather well. According to Madhu Kishwar, as far back as 12 years ago, he was funded $2 million dollars by US and German foundations.
Kailash Satyarthi has no doubt done some good work. At the same time he also appears to be deeply embedded in Western institutional structures and sources of funding for a long time. But he also has his local supporters. He has received an endorsement from Dr. Vaidik, who also claims to know him for long. Dr. Vaidik says that Satyarthi is not self-promotional and keep a simple lifestyle. On the other hand it is difficult to reconcile the slew of largely foreign awards, criticism of peers and charges of inflating numbers with the endorsement of lack of self-promotion.
The verdict is still out on Satyarthi and the Nobel on whether he is a hero manufactured by Western institutions for their own interests or a simple, unassuming human rights worker. Given the pattern of funds, the less than stellar endorsement from peers, his Marxist leanings coming with a “Hindu” tag and relationships with evangelical organizations such as World Vision, we should take our newly minted hero with a grain of salt.

Cordially invites you to a
COMMUNITY RECEPTION AND PRESS CONFERENCE
ANTI INDIA FORCES: THREATS, CONSEQUENCES AND SOLUTIONS
In 2005, several communist/leftist groups, along with extremist Muslim organizations, Far Right Christian Evangelical Organizations and a set of pseudo secular groups founded by Sri Kumar Poddar, formed the Coalition Against Genocide. They have not only engaged in a persistent and aggressive campaign to destroy the political career of Shri Narendra Modi, but have also attempted to tarnish the image of mainstream Hindu organizations working in the USA, including VHPA, Hindu Students Council, IDRF, Ekal Vidyalaya, Infinity Foundation and the HSS. For the first time, USHA, together with various community organizations, intend to not only expose the workings of these dangerous groups, but also take effective steps to address this menace. They were responsible for rupturing the burgeoning US India relations in the past. We urge the active support of the community so that this initiative led by USHA becomes successful.
